Fruitful talks were held between the Research Institute of Criminology of Uzbekistan and the Center for Security Research of Qatar’s Ministry of Internal Affairs

The Qatari delegation included the Head of the Center for Security Research under the Police Academy, Jassim Muhammad Al-Obeidli, Deputy Director of the Department for Economic and Electronic Crimes, Muhammad Al-Thani, representative of the International Cooperation Department, Muhammad Al-Naama, representative of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Interior, Muhammad Al-Mannai, as well as the Ambassador of Qatar to Uzbekistan, Hassan Hamza Hashim.
At the beginning of the meeting, the delegation expressed high appreciation for the successful organization of the second international forum on "Advanced Experiences of World Criminology”, held on November 17–18 in Samarkand, and extended their gratitude for the invitation to participate.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed a range of key issues, including exchanging scientific and practical expertise in crime prevention and law enforcement, implementing joint research projects aimed at deeper crime trends analysis, organizing scientific internships for employees of the Research Institute of Criminology at research institutions under Qatar’s Ministry of Interior and publishing joint scientific works in criminology and crime prevention.
Additionally, the sides considered establishing a "Qatar Criminology Research Office" in Uzbekistan in order to facilitate systematic study of Qatar's experience in early crime prevention and to introduce advanced criminological practices.
In addition, the parties agreed to prepare a draft bilateral memorandum outlining priority areas for future cooperation. They also agreed to include it in the upcoming agenda.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration, exchanging expertise, and supporting joint initiatives moving forward.
