The Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs held a roundtable discussion dedicated to strengthening the professional capacity of management personnel. During the event, the importance of leadership knowledge, experience, and management skills was highlighted.
The meeting with students and faculty members discussed the current reforms in the internal affairs system and the increasing responsibility placed on leaders.
Lieutenant Colonel Jasur Yusupov, First Deputy Head of the Organizational Department of the Ministry, delivered a comprehensive presentation on ongoing large-scale reforms, modern management methods being implemented in practice, and priority factors for improving institutional efficiency. He emphasized that in recent years, internal affairs bodies have introduced modern management mechanisms and significantly improved leadership training programs. He noted that the positive outcomes today are largely the result of competent leaders who possess contemporary knowledge and management skills.
The discussion also reviewed the shortcomings identified during recent nationwide inspections conducted by ministerial working groups. It was observed that insufficient leadership responsibility and personal accountability in certain cases negatively influence public trust in internal affairs bodies.
Colonel Sherzod Ganiev, Deputy Head of the Organizational Department, continued the discussion by addressing issues related to the handling of citizens’ appeals, analytical activities, and executive discipline. Participants were given detailed answers to their questions and encouraged to strengthen their approach to professional duties.
