International Scientific and Practical Conference “Development of the State and Law in Uzbekistan: New Approaches and Trends” was held in Tashkent

On October 8, the Tashkent State University of Law hosted an international scientific and practical conference titled “Development of the State and Law in Uzbekistan: New Approaches and Trends”, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor Khojimurod Tukhtamurodovich Odilkariev, a distinguished scholar of the Research Institute of Criminology of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The conference brought together representatives of the Research Institute of Criminology, the Oliy Majlis, the Constitutional Court, the Ministry of Justice, and the Academy of Public Policy and Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, along with prominent legal scholars from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, and other countries.
Participants of the event paid special tribute to Professor Khojimurod Odilkariev’s significant scientific contributions. They highlighted his valuable work in developing the theory of state and law, as well as his outstanding role in training highly qualified legal specialists in Uzbekistan.
A key objective of the conference was to analyze state and legal system development trends, study advanced international practices, and identify effective mechanisms for further improving national legislation.
The discussions and research findings presented at the conference are expected to contribute meaningfully to the ongoing modernization of Uzbekistan’s legal framework and the strengthening of its rule of law.
