During the event, the Minister and the Prosecutor visited the “People’s Friendship” mahalla citizens’ assembly in Nukus to become familiar with the work being carried out on the ground, including the establishment of safe corridors and other positive initiatives. The responsible officials were assigned specific tasks to transition the mahalla from the "red" category to the "yellow" and "green" categories in accordance with the crime prevention strategies.
The purpose of the visit was to assess the crime situation in the mahalla, its underlying causes, and the effectiveness of preventive measures. In addition, a meeting was held with residents and mahalla activists to increase awareness of legal issues and encourage citizen participation in maintaining public order.
The implementation of such initiatives can significantly reduce crime, ensure public security, and strengthen local legal systems.
