A meeting was held with convicts at penal colony No. 30 in Jizzakh, with the participation of the Prosecutor of Jizzakh Region and the Head of the Regional Department of Internal Affairs. Discussions focused on ensuring the legality of the execution of sentences, as well as vocational training and educational activities within the institution.
During the visit, the officials reviewed the activities of workshops and partner businesses operating in the colony, including "NEV KAPITAL" LLC, which currently employs 51 convicts. It specializes in the production of microcalcite for export, operates in three shifts, and maintains strict control over the facility and its territory.
The colony has provided appropriate working and living conditions for convicts, including family visits and meals. Convicts expressed their gratitude to the colony administration and partner enterprises for the opportunities provided to them.
It was noted that participation in such production activities plays a key role in convict social adaptation after their release. This helps them acquire professional skills and reintegrate into society.
