Leadership of the MIA reviewed the implementation of "Safe Area - Urgent 20 Days" measures in the Andijan region

The leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs paid a working visit to Andijan region to review the progress of the large-scale operational-preventive initiative “Safe Area - Urgent 20 Days.”
As part of the visit, officials inspected the activities of the law enforcement unit serving the Shahrikhonsoy, Yuksalish, and Yangi Hayot mahallas in the Kurgan-Tepa district, where the criminal situation is considered particularly challenging. They reviewed the measures being implemented jointly with members of the “mahalla seven” to prevent crimes and offenses and ensure public safety.
The delegation also visited crowded areas, including local markets, to gain a better understanding of the preventive measures being taken to reduce theft, fraud, and other crimes.
A visit was also made to the Security Department facility in the Shahrikhonsoy mahalla of the Kurgan-Tepa district. A review of the working conditions of employees and the measures in place to ensure reliable protection of facilities under guard was conducted.
Furthermore, the situation in the Mustakillik and Uzbegim mahallas of Andijan city, where crime rates remain high, was reviewed. The work of local “mahalla seven” representatives was assessed critically, and concrete instructions were given to strengthen preventive measures.
