Meeting on strengthening crime prevention in mahallas was held in Mirzo Ulugbek district

In the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent, a working meeting was held to discuss ways to strengthen the role of mahallas in preventing crime and providing public safety. The event was attended by officials of the district, representatives of the "mahalla sevens" system, officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs assigned to the district, and other stakeholders.
At the meeting, the tasks outlined by the Head of State in the framework of the “Year of Youth and Business Support” and the Resolution on enhancing crime prevention efficiency were reviewed. Particular emphasis was placed on the development of mahallas, early prevention of offenses, and strengthening cooperation between communities and law enforcement bodies.
The participants discussed the implementation of the "road maps" developed in accordance with the decision. A number of deficiencies were identified, and the responsible officials were given specific instructions on how to prevent crime, to enhance social prevention, and to improve the effectiveness of neighborhood-based initiatives.
