The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan continues to make significant advances in the fight against crime, the stabilization of the criminal environment, and the maintenance of public order, attracting the attention of a number of countries due to its effectiveness. The Ministry has initiated a program to exchange valuable experiences with international counterparts based on contemporary advancements and the integration of modern technologies.
From August 11 to 15, a delegation led by Colonel Fayzali Saidalizoda, Deputy Head of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan for Dushanbe, visited Uzbekistan to engage in knowledge exchange. The delegation participated in a specialized training session at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during which they were introduced to the operations of the Department of Combating Crime in the Field of Information Technologies at the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent city.
During the workshop, representatives from Tajikistan gained insight into various cybercrime categories, the mechanisms behind these crimes, current strategies employed to combat crimes involving information systems, and ongoing initiatives in the field of digital forensics. In addition to exchanging information and experiences, the delegation members expressed interest in incorporating Tashkent's practices into their own.
As part of the visit, the visitors were also shown the Main Department Information and Multimedia Center, where they learned about proactive measures taken to combat crime and to enhance public awareness of legal issues, thereby encouraging civic involvement and legal literacy among citizens. They were particularly impressed by the displays at the Shon-Sharaf Museum, which contained artifacts, weaponry, and tributes to personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice for justice.
The purpose of this exchange is to underline the commitment of the two countries to strengthen mechanisms for the prevention and detection of cross-border crimes in the era of globalization by organizing professional trainings, collaborative endeavors, and the sharing of information among foreign colleagues.
