Surkhandarya regional internal affairs department leadership conducted a comprehensive review of crime reduction initiatives in Shurchi district. Colonel Timur Ismailov, head of the Surkhandarya regional police department, visited the "Bobotog" mahalla, an area with significant criminal activity. During this visit, he assessed recent efforts in crime prevention and convened a meeting with the participation of the mahalla seven representatives.
The discussion focused on the implementation of the road-map designed to reduce criminal activity, improve mahalla safety, and improve road safety conditions. As a result of the meeting, it was highlighted the importance of reinforcing public order, protecting the well-being of citizens, and ensuring compliance with traffic regulations. Colonel Ismailov stressed the importance of intensifying existing measures in these critical areas.
Furthermore, the review included the implementation of Presidential Decree No. PD-1 issued on January 3, 2025, which outlines social prevention strategies, as well as collaborative efforts undertaken with the mahalla sevens. The Colonel provided relevant recommendations and instructions to address identified shortcomings in these efforts.
As a result, district officials have been instructed to take all necessary steps to ensure the safety of residents within the mahallas. A clear set of instructions was provided to ensure that the mahalla areas are transformed into safe and secure environments for all residents.
