The Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs recently hosted an international training session focused on addressing the escalating issue of drug distribution via the Internet. In today's digital age, the Internet has emerged as a predominant platform for the online trade of illicit drugs and psychotropic substances. This creates significant challenges for law enforcement agencies worldwide.
This training initiative was organized by the National Center for Drug Control under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration of the United States Department of Justice. The event brought together representatives from foreign affairs agencies, along with esteemed professors and experts in the field.
International experts shared valuable insights on effective techniques for identifying online sources involved in narcotics trade, as well as methods to uncover individuals engaged in these illicit activities. Furthermore, the session emphasized the need to raise public awareness regarding the risks associated with information use, especially among youth.
During the training, participants engaged in constructive discussions, exchanging experiences and strategies employed by law enforcement agencies from various countries. Participants focused on practices used in the United States.
Following the session, all parties expressed their commitment to fostering continued cooperation in the fight against online drug trafficking, indicating the need for ongoing collaboration to enhance global efforts in this regard.
