Security matters were discussed during the visit of the Chinese delegation to Samarkand

A distinguished delegation, headed by Yan Shanwei, the First Deputy Director of the Public Security Department of the People's Republic of China, recently paid a visit to the Samarkand Regional Department of Internal Affairs.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Colonel Rakhmat Mamatov, Head of the Regional Internal Affairs Department. Colonel Mamatov provided an overview of the Department’s operations and the facilities available to its personnel.
Afterwards, an official meeting between the two parties took place, focused on fostering mutual cooperation and exchanging best practices.
During the meeting, both sides reached an agreement to enhance tourism security, combat terrorism, strengthen cybersecurity, address transnational crimes, and collaborate effectively in these key areas.
