The Advanced Training Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has successfully hosted an important scientific and practical conference focusing on environmental rights.
This conference was primarily intended to explore theoretical and practical aspects of collaboration between internal affairs agencies and various state and non-state stakeholders in order to protect citizens' environmental rights in Uzbekistan. The aim of the event was to develop proposals and recommendations for addressing existing challenges while significantly enhancing public awareness of and understanding of environmental rights.
Representatives from the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Tashkent State Law University, the University of Public Safety, the Tashkent International University, and the Advanced Training Institute attended the conference. Distinguished professors, educators, students, and media representatives also contributed to the discussion.
Colonel Rasulev Ulugbek Erkinovich, acting head of the Advanced Training Institute, opened the conference with an introductory address, setting the stage for an engaging and informative exchange of ideas.
Throughout the conference, speakers shared insights on the constitutional recognition of citizens' environmental rights. They also emphasized the vital role of internal affairs agencies in protecting these rights, and the significance of collaborating with both governmental and non-profit organizations in environmental protection efforts.
