Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On June 29, the Ministry of Internal Affairs organized a reception for citizens, in order to maintain legality and law and order in society, as well as to ensure the safety of citizens. The purpose of this initiative was to gather insights into the challenges faced by the general population in order to provide them with practical assistance.

During the reception, a diverse group of citizens from various regions of the country presented their concerns and issues. Ministry of Internal Affairs officials addressed a total of 553 appeals submitted by 913 citizens.

Immediate measures were taken to address the concerns raised by the applicants, with involvement from the relevant competent authorities. In addition, legal clarifications were provided regarding certain appeals, and specific instructions were established to address these issues.

During the consideration of these appeals, particular attention was paid to analyzing the true needs and demands of the citizens, as well as identifying longstanding problems that require systematic resolution. The Ministry has committed to closely monitoring the implementation of solutions to the issues raised in the appeals, ensuring that the outcomes align with the interests of citizens.

The topics of the appeals predominantly involved the investigation of criminal cases, the safeguarding of citizens' rights and freedoms, challenges encountered during the investigation process, issues related to service transfers within the internal affairs bodies, employment matters, the legal status of convicts, and the resolution of local economic and social problems, among other areas of concern.

Of the appeals received, 265, representing 48 percent, were resolved favorably based on appropriate legal arguments. For the remaining 288 appeals, which made up 52 percent, comprehensive examinations are underway. Specific tasks have been assigned to monitor their progress and ensure effective resolutions.

During the personal reception, the responsible leaders were issued explicit instructions to implement prompt and effective responses to the appeals, ensuring that each citizen's concerns are addressed in alignment with legal standards and principles of justice.

By organizing such receptions, the Ministry of Internal Affairs serves their mission to strengthen citizens' confidence in state institutions based on the foundation principles of transparency and accountability.
