Uzbekistan and Singapore have a close partnership that is characterized by multifaceted cooperation and friendly relations. In recent years, knowledge, information, and experiences have been exchanged across a wide range of sectors, particularly in the area of internal affairs.
The recent official visit by a delegation led by the Singapore Police Chief, Hung Wee Tek, is a notable example of this comprehensive collaboration. This visit shows the commitment to fostering closer ties between our nations.
During their visit, the delegation toured the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs and engaged with the Unified Operational Management Center operations. The center received commendations for its advanced technological equipment, which plays a crucial role in ensuring safety and tranquility within the capital city, maintaining public order, and enabling prompt responses to reports of criminal activity and other offenses, thereby preventing incidents before they occur.
Additionally, the guests visited the "Shon-Sharaf" museum located within the Main Department, where they expressed keen interest in the artifacts and historical monuments that document the chronological evolution of internal affairs bodies in our country.
Furthermore, the delegation was impressed by the initiatives undertaken by the Information and Multimedia Center of the Main Department. This center aims to raise public awareness regarding the ongoing efforts of internal affairs bodies in combating crime, preventing offenses, and maintaining public order. Community engagement and collaboration are also promoted at this center.
Our nation will benefit greatly from the positive developments and adoption of innovative practices in the areas of mutual trust and friendly interstate cooperation in combating crime and enhancing peace, stability, and progress.
