A meeting was held by the working group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to discuss the results of the comprehensive inspection conducted in the Republic of Karakalpakstan in order to ensure the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State aimed at improving the crime situation in the regions and maintaining peace and order.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Ministry, as well as the heads of internal affairs and district police departments. At the meeting, the state of the internal affairs service, its effectiveness, professional training and discipline of personnel, and steps to ensure public safety were fully discussed.
Several employees who demonstrated exemplary service and received recognition from the public and their coworkers were honored with awards by the Minister of Internal Affairs.
In particular, the senior inspector of preventive maintenance of the Beruniy district police department, Lieutenant Colonel Uktam Iskandarov, and the inspector of the Road Safety Department, Sergeant Bakhtiyor Nietov, were awarded the “For Excellent Services” badge, the head of the DIA of Bozatov district, Colonel Umida Kurbanbayeva, and the operational representative of the first regional district, Colonel Bekmurza Bulatov, were awarded the “For Impeccable Services” badge of the 1st degree, as well as the senior investigator of the investigation group under the Amudarya district police department, Major Mamurjon Shamuradov, and the junior inspector of the appeals work group of the Organizational Department of the Konlikul district police department, Sergeant Sagynbay Turdymuradov, were awarded a commemorative wristwatch from the Minister of Internal Affairs.
While the meeting highlighted several positive outcomes, it also acknowledged existing shortcomings within the system. Following the inspection, disciplinary actions were taken against several leaders for serious deficiencies in their duties.
The inspection not only served as a monitoring tool but was also geared towards enhancing the operational effectiveness of internal affairs bodies as per modern standards.
Plans were established for improving the material and technical infrastructure of both the central and regional offices.
Concluding the meeting, officials received explicit instructions aimed at overhauling service operations, fostering collective responsibility, and enhancing public trust, with commitments made to monitor the execution of these instructions.
