On May 1, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs between the delegation of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure, including the Director of the Executive Committee of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure, Ularbek Sharsheev, and the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Ayubhon Rahmatullayev.
At the event, the parties discussed counterterrorism and extremism issues and determined further steps to prevent vulnerable groups from becoming radicalized.
In addition, the guest was informed about the measures being taken in Uzbekistan to resocialize individuals who have fallen victim to destructive ideologies.
