In Qatar, the Executive Council of INTERPA discussed prospects for cooperation

On January 18, the next INTERPA Executive Council meeting was held in Doha, the capital of Qatar. It was also attended by members of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
A meeting of the Executive Council was chaired by Yilmaz Çolak, President of the National Police Academy of Turkey. In addition to discussing major issues on the agenda, heads of educational institutions and members of the Council exchanged views on global problems of regional and international significance.
A dialogue format was used to highlight the work done at the last meeting and discuss future plans. In the framework of INTERPA, specific measures will be taken regarding the conferences to be held. INTERPA XII conference book presentation was presented to the meeting participants.
At the meeting, Rustam Khatamov, head of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, emphasized the importance of integrating education against the backdrop of cooperation. It was mentioned that in July this year, the Academy will conduct a criminology training course as part of these efforts. A video presentation about this training course and a video about the Academy's activities were shown to the heads of foreign educational institutions. The Executive Council appreciated the way the Ministry of Internal Affairs Academy applied modern approaches to the training of personnel for internal affairs agencies.
Following the meeting, Yilmaz Çolak highlighted the importance of strengthening the environment of cooperation and developing stable relations in an era when geopolitical processes in the world are becoming increasingly complex, and he presented his ideas and initiatives.
The members of the Executive Council attended the Qatar Police Academy graduation ceremony as part of the meeting. The heads of educational institutions also held a number of interesting meetings.
In particular, the head of the MIA Academy, Rustam Khatamov, met with the head of the Qatar Police Academy, Abdul Rahman Majid Al Sulaiti. In the dialogue, the two countries recognized that their relations were strengthening. The parties agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding, noting the need to establish cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of education.
During the dialogues of our delegation with the representatives of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, North Macedonia, Mongolia and the Republic of Maldives, there was an intense exchange of views on important areas of cooperation. In addition, our representatives got acquainted with the activities of the police department in Doha.
