The event was held in a videoconference format and attended by the acting regional governor Adiz Boboyev, heads of all district and city sectors, heads of sectoral services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, heads of the National Guard, law enforcement agencies and military organizations, and groups of mahalla sevens.
The meeting noted that it remains an important task to adapt work on creating a safe environment in mahallas and preventing crimes for the present day.
Upon the approval of the decision signed by the head of state, an interdepartmental coordinating working group has been established at the republican level for the Samarkand region with its composition, the volume of work to be performed in each district and city for crime prevention has been determined. The "roadmaps" for 1126 mahallas in the region have been approved, and responsible sector leaders have been assigned to all of the 156 mahallas characterized as "red." A report on the results of the work in these mahallas is presented to the Minister of Internal Affairs at the end of every month, to the Prosecutor General at the end of every quarter and to the Prime Minister every six months.
The task was given to stabilize the criminogenic situation in the mahallas of the Samarkand region and organize a system of early crime prevention based on new approaches, for example, to create a model of a “Safe and Digital Mahalla” in Urgut district, a “Model Safe Street” in Toylok and Pastargam districts, a “Safe Market” in Bulungur district, a “Safe Bus Stop” in Samarkand city, and “Early Prevention of Crime among Women” in Akdarya district.
It was assigned to the Ministry of Internal Affairs to introduce the positions of junior inspectors of prevention, migration prevention units, administrative operational groups, and chief inspectors of prevention and to establish the corresponding staff units. It was given the task of organizing the work in this process using the newly launched "Law and Order Center" model in the "Boghisaroy" mahalla in Samarkand.
During the meeting, the information of the responsible persons was heard, proposals were considered, and measures were determined to eliminate the identified shortcomings.
