The event was conducted via videoconference. Regional governor Murodjon Azimov attended the meeting along with the heads of regional, district, and city sectors, officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' sectoral services, law enforcement agencies, and military organizations, as well as the heads of partner agencies and all mahallas in the region.
It is emphasized that, along with implementing effective measures to introduce new mechanisms to ensure peace and tranquility in our country, it remains an urgent task to adapt the organizational and preventive foundations of creating a safe environment in mahallas to modern requirements and further increase the effectiveness of the early crime prevention system.
A republican interdepartmental coordination working group and its composition for the Kashkadarya region was established in accordance with the requirements of the resolution, and the heads of responsible state bodies and organizations joined together to prevent crime at the mahalla, district and regional levels in 2025, as well as a mechanism was developed to influence officials who approached this issue irresponsibly.
Road maps have been approved for the region, covering 16 districts and cities, along with 832 mahallas. Additionally, 137 “red” mahallas, identified as having a severe crime issue, have been assigned by name to the heads of all district and city sectors, the National Guard Security Service leaders, and the internal affairs bodies. The outcomes of their work are scheduled to be discussed at the end of each month with the Minister of Internal Affairs, at the end of each quarter with the Prosecutor General, and every six months with the Prime Minister.
A model safe walkway was created in the “Aigirkul” mahalla of Yakkabag district and a model safe street in the “Khojaobod” mahalla of Kukdala district.
The heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs sectoral services were tasked with introducing the newly created positions of junior prevention inspector, migration prevention units, inter-district administrative convoy and administrative operational groups, and chief prevention inspector and establishing the necessary staffing structures.
During the event, officials shared their information, suggestions were made, and specific works were determined to eliminate the shortcomings identified.
