In recent years, at the initiative of the Head of our state, many regulatory and legal acts have been adopted aimed at transforming the sector into a people-friendly system. As a result, the role of internal affairs bodies in combating crime, its early prevention, maintaining public order, ensuring the safety of citizens and traffic, and raising the legal awareness and culture of the population is increasing. Most importantly, the number of internal affairs officers working with the public has increased significantly.

As part of this meeting, Lieutenant Colonel Bakhtiyor Inakov, the First Deputy Head of the Surkhandarya Regional Internal Affairs Department, discussed the activities carried out in Termez to improve the criminogenic situation, combat crime and offences, and prevent them during the calendar year 2024.

During this meeting, an extensive critical analysis was conducted of the mistakes and shortcomings made in this regard over the last year. Officials from the regional Internal Affairs Department and the Termez City Internal Affairs Department participated in the discussion, where proposals were put forward to make each mahalla crime-free.

Preventing violations and crimes requires, first of all, the involvement of the general public in the mahallas. Hence, it was emphasized that each prevention inspector should act under the slogan "There should be no crime in my mahalla!" and, if necessary, take practical measures with the assistance of additional forces and means.

Furthermore, the employees were issued relevant instructions to ensure that they adhered to service discipline and legislation and prevent corruption and greed.

At the critical and analytical meeting, necessary measures were determined to eliminate the mistakes and shortcomings made in the regions over the past year, ensure road safety, use the per mahalla, per citizen work system for crime prevention, and other tasks.
