The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting to discuss urgent issues aimed at improving the operations of internal affairs bodies, maintaining public order, and ensuring the safety of citizens.
Attendees included Deputy Ministers of Internal Affairs, heads of various ministry services, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, heads of the Main Departments of Internal Affairs from Tashkent city and region, as well as personnel from regional departments and students from the Master's degree program at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
This meeting was centered on enhancing personnel readiness for the upcoming holiday events "New Year" and "Presidential New Year Tree," emphasizing the need to maintain public order and safety. A number of specific instructions were issued in order to improve collaboration between responsible units and other law enforcement and partner agencies, ensuring the effective deployment of resources.
The meeting also addressed the challenges associated with the illegal circulation of pyrotechnics, including their entry into the country. A set of concrete tasks has been established in order to improve the effectiveness of operational measures and to enhance oversight in this area.
Moreover, the discussion addressed the third phase of a comprehensive operational-preventive initiative, "Safe and Healthy Country," which emphasizes the importance of preventing violations, combating crime, and improving legal awareness among the population.
Priority tasks were identified for the ministry's sectoral services and territorial internal affairs bodies to be completed by year-end. During the meeting, a detailed analysis of executive discipline within the Ministry of Internal Affairs was conducted, which resulted in directives aimed at correcting existing problems and preventing them from occurring in the future.
