Representatives of the Institute of Advanced Training of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in the international scientific and practical conference titled “Current Issues of Using Professional Experience in Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking,” held at the All-Russian Institute of Advanced Training of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
The event was attended by employees of internal affairs bodies from the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, as well as professors and instructors from leading educational institutions.
First Deputy Head of the Institute of Advanced Training, Colonel U.E. Rasulev, delivered an online presentation on “Strategic and Legal Foundations for Combating Drug Addiction and Drug Crimes in the Republic of Uzbekistan: A New Stage of Reforms.”
In his report, Colonel Rasulev provided an in-depth analysis of Presidential Decree No. PD-207 of November 3, 2025, "On a Comprehensive Strategy to Protect Public Health and the National Gene Pool from Drug Addiction and Drug Crimes." He outlined the key reforms, priorities, and mechanisms introduced to enhance prevention, strengthen legal frameworks, and improve the effectiveness of the national system for combating drug-related offenses.
Through participation in the conference, advanced international practices were exchanged and professional collaboration was expanded in the area of countering illegal drug trafficking.
