During the raid, it was established that three individuals had illegally caught 38 fish of seven species in the "Shurazak" drainage canal, which passes through the Syrdarya district, using a prohibited fishing device — an electric rod. The offenders were apprehended while attempting to transport the catch in a "VAZ-2106" vehicle.
A protocol was drawn up regarding the incident. As material evidence, 38 illegally caught fish, one electric rod, a rubber boat with oars, a dip net with mesh and a battery were confiscated. The vehicle was impounded pending legal assessment.
The offense constitutes a violation of the Laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On hunting and hunting economy” “On the Protection and Use of Wildlife,” and “On Nature Protection.” The damage caused to the environment is estimated at 521 million 180 thousand sums.
The collected materials have been submitted to the General Prosecutor’s Office for legal evaluation and appropriate action.
