Offender detained for the illegal harvesting of saxaul

The Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change for the Uchkuduk District of the Navoi Region conducted another inspection raid in the "Shalkhar" aul.
During the raid, a citizen identified as G.Yu. was detained while illegally cutting down saxaul trees and loading them into his personal "Ford" vehicle. As a result of his actions, environmental damage amounting to 2,884,000 sums was caused.
An administrative protocol was drawn up against the offender under Part 1, Article 79 of the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Administrative Responsibility and a fine of 25 BCV was imposed. The violator has also been ordered to compensate for the environmental damage and pay the fine in full.
Inspection and enforcement activities in the region are ongoing.
