The exhibition was inaugurated by First Deputy Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change Obidjon Kudratov, who read out a welcome address from Minister Aziz Abdukhakimov:
“2025 has become a record year in the history of tourism in Uzbekistan — more than 8.6 million foreign tourists visited the country in the first nine months. This historic achievement is the result of the farsighted policies of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, aimed at developing the tourism industry, strengthening the country’s international image and creating comfortable conditions for travellers. An ambitious target has been set to increase the number of foreign visitors to 25 million per year by 2030. To achieve this, the monthly flow of guests must exceed 2 million people.”
Over the course of three days participants will take part in a full business programme comprising more than 10 thematic sessions, conferences, presentations, panel discussions and B2B meetings. Key topics include:
–The future of hotel architecture and design — sustainability, energy efficiency and comfort;
–The digital hotel — process automation and improving the guest experience;
–Investment in human capital — experience-sharing and training programmes for the next generation of professionals.
One of the principal streams of Horeca Expo Uzbekistan 2025 is the session “Investing in Sustainability — a Priority for the New Decade,” devoted to environmental responsibility and the introduction of sustainable practices in the HoReCa sector. Modern environmental standards, energy-efficient technologies and digital solutions are becoming integral to the development of the hotel and restaurant business. International and local companies are presenting innovative solutions aimed at reducing carbon footprints, using resources more rationally and creating eco-friendly comfort for guests. Special attention is paid to sustainable tourism as a key factor in enhancing Uzbekistan’s investment appeal and in regional development consistent with conservation priorities.
A prominent feature of the programme is Gastro Forum Tashkent 2025 — an annual professional platform that brings together culinary arts, tourism and sustainable development. The forum aims to promote local cuisine, improve service quality and strengthen Uzbekistan’s reputation as a gastronomic destination.
The forum’s highlight will be a presentation by a French chef — of two Michelin stars holder — who will, for the first time, introduce his culinary philosophy to an Uzbek audience. The programme includes open discussions on international service standards, experience exchange and masterclasses on adapting global practices to local realities.
The exhibition will also host a "Jobs Fair" — a new initiative designed to create a platform for interaction between hospitality businesses, educational institutions and job seekers. The initiative aims to develop human capital, promote environmentally friendly service standards and build a professional community oriented toward sustainability and quality.
Horeca Expo Uzbekistan 2025 reaffirms Uzbekistan’s status as a country committed to the ecological transformation of the tourism sector, where sustainability, comfort and innovation are the principal investments in the future.
