The event was attended by employees of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, the Committee for Tourism, the Forestry Agency, the Hydrometeorological Service Agency, the Waste Management and Circular Economy Development Agency, and other organizations.
During the event, flowers were laid at the foot of the monument to the great thinker and founder of Uzbek literature, Alisher Navoi. It was noted that in recent years, the status of the Uzbek language as the state language has significantly strengthened, and the Presidential Decree adopted on October 20, titled "On Additional Measures for the Further Development of the State Language," has become another important step in this direction.
For reference: The new document is aimed at the more complete and effective use of the potential of the state language in all spheres of socio-political life of the country, improving the system of teaching the Uzbek language in educational institutions, preserving its purity and continual enrichment, active integration into the field of modern information technologies and communications, as well as increasing its international status and prestige.
On the same day, cultural-educational and literary-artistic events were organized around the monuments of outstanding representatives of Uzbek literature, installed in the Alley of Writers, with the participation of higher educational institutions.
