Farm enterprise caused environmental damage amounting to over 43 billion sums

State inspectors of the Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Samarkand region conducted an inspection of the activities of the “M.M.M.N” farm enterprise located in the Aqdarya district.
During the inspection, it was established that a sand and gravel mixture had been illegally extracted from the Qoradaryo River, which flows through the territory of the district, using an excavator and a truck belonging to the farm enterprise.
As a result of this environmental violation, damage to nature was assessed at 43 billion 12 million 57 thousand 536 sums.
At present, the equipment used for the illegal extraction has been temporarily impounded, and the relevant case materials have been submitted to the Samarkand regional prosecutor’s office for legal assessment and appropriate action.
