National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan

At present, under the instruction of the President, a nationwide month of cleanliness and improvement is underway. In all regions, large-scale landscaping and cleaning activities are being carried out — neighborhoods, streets, canals, educational institutions and other facilities are being cleared of waste.

In addition, a working group comprising representatives of the Ministry of Ecology, the General Prosecutor’s Office, the National Guard and the Internal Affairs bodies is exercising continuous monitoring. Strict measures are being taken  in accordance with the law against those who dispose of waste in unauthorized places.

The Ministry of Ecology calls on everyone to take an active part in the month of cleanliness and to demonstrate responsibility toward the environment. Remember: polluting the environment entails serious consequences.
