Illegal Fishing: Damage Exceeded 100 Million Sums

During the raid, it was discovered that two residents of Gijduvan District engaged in illegal fishing using electric current. They caught 17 common carps (Cyprinus carpio) and one Turkestan barbel (Luciobarbus capito), a species listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
As a result of this violation, the damage to nature amounted to 107 million 532 thousand sums.
As material evidence, 18 fish and one rubber boat were confiscated. The collected documents have been forwarded to the relevant authorities and investigative measures are underway.
For reference: A previous case of illegal fishing was also recorded on the Syrdarya River, with the damage to wildlife then amounting to 679 million 400 thousand sums. Patrol operations continue.
