What Is the Fine for Burning Leaves?

Such actions violate Article 20 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Nature Protection” and Articles 4 and 24 of the Law “On the Protection of Atmospheric Air.”
According to Part 3 of Article 88 of the Code on Administrative Responsibility, the following fines are established for this violation: for citizens – from 3 to 5 base calculation units (BCUs) (from UZS 1,236,000 to 2,060,000), and for officials – from 5 to 10 BCUs (from UZS 2,060,000 to 4,120,000).
If the offence is repeated within one year after an administrative penalty has been imposed, the amount of the fine increases: for citizens – from 5 to 7 BCVs (from UZS 2,060,000 to 2,884,000), and for officials – from 10 to 15 BCUs (from UZS 4,120,000 to 6,180,000).
Important! When plant residues are burned, harmful substances such as carbon monoxide, carbon oxides, and other pollutants are released into the atmosphere, causing serious harm not only to the environment but also to human health.
Do not burn stubble, leaves, or branches in fields and populated areas!
