As part of these activities during the autumn-winter season, animals and birds are assisted in finding food. In particular, in the Surkhan State Reserve, springs are being cleared so that wild animals can freely drink water, while in the Kyzylkum State Reserve, feeders are being installed to provide additional feed for wild animals.
In addition, staff at the Lower Amudarya State Biosphere Reserve regularly provide Bukhara deer with mixed feed and coarse fodder. Biotechnical measures are also continuing in other protected areas.
For reference: Such measures are carried out throughout the year and aim to preserve the diversity of wild animals, the integrity of their natural herds and populations, their habitats and breeding conditions, as well as to maintain migration routes and implement protective measures.
Moreover, they contribute to the return of wild animals to their former habitats and their reproduction in semi-wild conditions, ensuring survival during adverse weather conditions, rescuing animals affected by natural disasters or trapped in unfamiliar environments, and creating favorable conditions for the development of ecological and hunting tourism.
