Following digitization, the trees undergo verification by dendrology specialists, who assess their species, condition, age and other characteristics.
For reference: the project is being implemented by the International Public Foundation Zamin, the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, and the Tashkent City Hokimiyat. Its aim is to carry out a full inventory of the capital’s trees and to establish their electronic database.
The digital map of green spaces is expected to serve as an effective tool for urban development, planning new plantings, maintaining greenery and ensuring public oversight of the protection and restoration of green areas. It will contribute to improving the quality of life of city residents and to preserving Tashkent’s natural environment.
