Over 620 Million sums Compensation Imposed for the Illegal Keeping of Rare Falcons

During the raid, it was discovered that a resident of the “Yangi Obod” mahalla in Chinaz District, Tashkent Region, was illegally keeping wild birds.
Specifically, inspectors found one peregrine falcon, listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and one hobby falcon, both held unlawfully in a barred cage.
The necessary documents were prepared in the presence of witnesses, and the birds were seized from the violator and temporarily transferred to the Tashkent Zoo for care.
Violations of the laws "‘On Hunting and Hunting Economy," "On the Protection and Use of Wildlife"’ and "On nature protection" were established. As a result, damage to wildlife amounted to 620 million 884 thousand sums.
All collected materials have been submitted to the General Prosecutor’s Office for legal evaluation and appropriate action.
Inspection activities of this kind are ongoing.
