This is stipulated by Resolution No. 588 of the Cabinet of Ministers “On Improving the Procedure for State Registration of Nurseries and Plantations for the Cultivation of Wild Plants.”
According to the resolution, nurseries and plantations for the cultivation of wild plants are to be established on land plots belonging to plant producers. The establishment of plantations is not permitted in water protection zones. Additionally, land plots where wild plants grow naturally without human intervention or the creation of artificial conditions are notconsidered nurseries or plantations.
Important:
Seeds, seedlings, and saplings of rare and endangered wild plants listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan, once cultivated in nurseries or plantations and planted in their natural environment, may not be collected or used for a period of three years following transplantation.
To confirm the fact of planting, plant producers must submit an application through a Public Service Center or the UPIPS portal (my.gov.uz). The application must be accompanied by the following documents:
-A permit for the special use of objects of the plant world;
- A permit for the import and export of wild plants and their parts;
- A notification confirming the registration of the nursery or plantation in the State Register of Nurseries and Plantations for the Cultivation of Wild Plants, as well as a supply agreement for the planting material.
The authorized body will review the application within five working days and enter the nursery or plantation into the register.
This resolution is aimed at further improving the state registration process of nurseries and plantations for the cultivation of wild plants, and at creating convenience for individuals and legal entities through the digitalization of this sector.
