National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan

This measure is provided for by Resolution No. 514 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated 16 August 2024.

According to the Resolution, the competition is open to employees of sanitation enterprises engaged in the loading, transportation, disposal and sorting of waste, as well as to employees of public-improvement departments who have worked conscientiously for many years in the field of sanitation.

The current stage of the competition began on 1 September 2025; winners will be selected and awarded on the eve of 8 December — Constitution Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Tuition fees for children or grandchildren of the winners who enroll in state higher education institutions on a fee-paying (contract) basis will be paid.

To participate, applications must be submitted by 17:00 on 30 September 2025 to the email address of the Agency for Waste Management and Circular Economy Development at info@sanitation.uz , or delivered to the Agency’s offices in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the regions and the city of Tashkent.

These competitions are primarily intended to support workers who have devoted many years to maintaining cleanliness and public order, to create additional opportunities for their families and to help their children obtain an education and develop into professionals able to contribute to the country’s development.

In addition, the competition aims to promote environmental awareness and culture among the population, to improve environmentally safe waste-management practices, to support dedicated sector employees and to prevent the negative impacts of waste on human health and the environment.
