The event was organized in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers’ resolution of August 13, 2025, as part of the national project “Yashil Makon” (Green Space). Its objectives included improvement and beautification work, the promotion of healthy lifestyles and hygiene practices, as well as support for socially vulnerable groups of the population.
Employees of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change also actively participated in the hashar. In particular, in Tashkent’s “Yunus Rajabiy” mahalla of Yakkasaray district, the territory was cleared of waste.
Over the course of two days, streets, parks, squares, pilgrimage sites, playgrounds, and other public areas in mahallas throughout the country were cleaned. Trees were whitewashed, and flowers and other plants were cared for.
Another noble tradition was preserved during the hashar — visiting and providing assistance to the elderly, people living alone, socially vulnerable families, and persons with disabilities.
The nationwide charity hashar is becoming a valued tradition that helps maintain cleanliness in our country, fosters humanity and compassion, and strengthens environmental responsibility and a sense of unity with nature. We call on our fellow citizens to care for nature and treat the environment with respect not only on the days of hashar, but every day.
