Source of Water Pollution in the South Fergana Canal Identified in Andijan Region

In response, the Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Andijan Region, in cooperation with the regional hokimiyat and other responsible organizations, promptly investigated the situation in accordance with established procedures.
The inspection revealed that on July 26 at approximately 9:00 a.m., foam was indeed observed on the water surface. Water samples were immediately collected and subjected to laboratory analysis. The results showed that wastewater from the textile dyeing facility of LLC “N.G.,” located in the “Solpi” mahalla of Khojaabad District, had been partially discharged into the canal without proper treatment due to the inadequate functioning of the facility’s wastewater treatment system.
To assess the environmental damage, the collected water samples were analyzed accordingly. All relevant documentation has been submitted to the appropriate judicial authorities for review and further action.
