Violations Involving Ferula Plant Damage Being Prevented in Surkhandarya Region

Starting from June 2 of this year, raid operations have been carried out across the regions of the country by 15 mobile groups formed from representatives of the State Environmental Control Inspectorate, regional departments of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, as well as the Forestry Agency.
The raids are aimed at preventing and eliminating cases of damage to or destruction of the Ferula plant.
During the raids conducted in the Surkhandarya region, numerous violations were identified. As part of 38 control operations, 30 violators were held accountable in 25 cases. Fines and compensation amounting to more than 122 million Uzbek soums were imposed. Materials related to three of the cases have been referred to the courts and law enforcement agencies.
The raid operations are ongoing.
