In the first half of 2025 alone, 5,215 instances of illegal waste dumping were detected through the use of online surveillance cameras installed by the Ministry’s Situation Center.
For reference: 250 surveillance cameras have been installed across the country to monitor environmental violations in real-time, particularly the illegal dumping of solid household, construction, and liquid waste. The monitoring system covers high-risk and pollution-prone areas, including the outskirts of residential settlements, unauthorized landfills, coastal zones and public spaces.
The highest number of violations was recorded in the Namangan region — 1,563 cases, followed by the Andijan region with 1,443 incidents and the Fergana region with 1,163 cases.
In total, 14,728 administrative violation reports were issued nationwide under Article 91¹ of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which prohibits the disposal of solid household and construction waste, as well as the discharge of liquid household waste, in unauthorized locations. The total amount of fines imposed reached 7.9 billion sums, of which 3.3 billion sums have already been collected.
The Ministry of Ecology urges all citizens to adhere strictly to environmental regulations and act responsibly towards nature. Waste must be disposed of only in designated areas. Only through joint efforts can we ensure cleanliness, ecological well-being, and the sustainable development of our country.
