As part of its efforts to promote ecotourism among young people, the Ministry has established “Young Ecologists’ Gardens” in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, as well as in the Andijan, Namangan and Bukhara regions. Each year, the Ministry organizes a series of youth engagement activities, including meetings, forums, intellectual competitions, eco-marathons, plogging events, and other initiatives. From 26 May to 1 June of this year, the Department for Public Engagement and Work with Eco-Activists at the Ministry organized the "Eco-Oromgoh 2025" environmental camp. The program focused on key environmental challenges and practical approaches to addressing them. As part of the camp, young participants presented their ideas and solutions to pressing ecological issues. Participants shared ideas and proposals for addressing issues such as water scarcity, pollution, and climate impacts. During the Eco Expo Central Asia 2025 international exhibition, held from June 19 to 21, special attention was given to the voices and projects of young eco-activists. The most promising environmental startups, led by young participants, were recognized and received support from the Ministry.
Looking ahead, the Ministry of Ecology remains committed to empowering young people engaged in environmental action. It will continue to expand its efforts to nurture the next generation of environmental leaders.
