"Car-Free Day" campaign to take place on May 28

In an effort to promote a healthy lifestyle, reduce environmental pollution, and ease traffic congestion in major cities, the next "Car-Free Day" campaign will take place tomorrow, May 28, in Nukus, Tashkent and all regional administrative centers across the country.
On this day, government officials, civil servants, and citizens are traditionally encouraged to leave their personal vehicles at home and opt for public transport, walking, cycling, or other eco-friendly modes of transportation. The initiative aims to lower harmful emissions, reduce noise pollution in urban areas, and foster a more responsible attitude toward the environment.
The monthly "Car-Free Day" is held in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 37, dated February 21, 2024, and takes place every fourth Wednesday of the month.
