National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan is actively working to preserve its natural heritage. The National Strategy for the Conservation of Biodiversity (2019–2028) is being implemented, alongside large-scale projects in collaboration with international partners. Efforts include restoring forests and pastures, improving the management of protected natural areas, and setting national targets aligned with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. Sustainable forestry practices are being introduced, biosphere reserves are being established and environmental education is being strengthened.

Each of us can contribute to the preservation of biodiversity — by treating nature with care, supporting environmental initiatives, reducing waste and thinking about the future.
