Illegal nightingale hunting was halted in Angren

During the raid, which took place in the protected natural area of the "Lashkerek" mahalla in the Angren city, it was discovered that two individuals, identified as Sh.Yu. and R.A., had been illegally hunting eight nightingales using homemade snares.
For reference: in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan №627 of 8 July 2020 "On hunting and hunting economy", from 1 March to 15 August this year hunting season is closed. During this period, hunting of wild animals and birds is strictly prohibited.
An administrative protocol was drawn up against the violators on the basis of part 4 of Article 90 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility and a fine of 25 BCV (9 million 375 thousand sums) was imposed. In addition, the animal world was damaged in the amount of 9 million sums.
The collected case materials have been submitted to the Angren City Administrative Court for legal review. The captured birds were released back into their natural habitat.
