Measures taken against administrations of five markets in Bukhara for violating waste management requirements

During the raids, conducted with the participation of the Agency for Waste Management and Development of Circular Economy, the Regional Department of Ecology, as well as representatives of the Department of Internal Affairs and the National Guard, the sanitary condition of a number of territories was assessed.
As a result of the inspections, it was found that food and clothing markets located in Kagan city, Shafirkan and Gijduvan districts do not meet sanitary requirements. Cases of violation of the rules of placement and operation of sanitation facilities have been recorded. On these facts, protocols on administrative offences were drawn up with respect to the responsible persons of the administrations of the markets ‘"G'ijduvon deqon bozori", "Kogon Savdo Market", "Kogon Soҳibkor deqon bozori", "Shofirkon dehqon bozori" and "Shofirkon Savdo Complexi", which were sent to the relevant judicial bodies.
In addition, cases of illegal dumping of household waste in inappropriate places were revealed. Administrative protocols were drawn up in respect of violators under Part 1 Article 91 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, and fines of 1 BCV - 375 thousand sums were imposed.
Representatives of the Agency and state environmental inspectors also conducted outreach activities with local citizens and entrepreneurs. During these sessions, detailed explanations were provided regarding the rules for the placement and operation of sanitation infrastructure and the handling of household waste, in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 787 dated October 2, 2018.
Similar activities to strengthen environmental control continue in other cities and districts of the region.
