Rare bukhara urials in the Surkhan state reserve

The Bukhara mountain sheep, also known as the Bukhara urial, is an endangered local subspecies. It is listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the IUCN Red List. This rare species is found in the Kugitang, Baysuntag, Gissar, and Babatag mountains, while related subspecies inhabit Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Southern Europe, Western Asia, the Caucasus, Pakistan, and India.
Currently, there are about 110 individuals of Bukhara urial in the Surkhan State Reserve.
For reference: The Surkhan State Reserve was established on September 8, 1986, in the Sherabad district of Surkhandarya region. It is home to approximately 200 animal species, more than 20 of which are listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan.
