How many fines for illegal waste disposal were issued in Tashkent in one day

The Tashkent Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change conducted another inspection raids to prevent illegal waste dumping.

On March 12, during one such raid in Tashkent, 16 violations related to unauthorized waste disposal were identified. Administrative reports were filed against the violators under Part 1 of Article 91 of the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Administrative Responsibilit, and fines totaling 11 million 375 thousand sums were imposed.

 

For reference: According to Part 1 of Article 91¹ of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of Uzbekistan, illegal dumping of solid domestic and construction waste, as well as liquid domestic waste is punishable by a fine: for citizens - from 1 to 3 BCV (375 000 - 1 125 000 sums), for officials - from 10 to 20 BCV (3 750 000 - 7 500 000 sums).

 

A repeated offense within a year after an administrative penalty results in increased fines:

for individuals: from 5 to 10 BCV (1 875 000 – 3 500 000 sums), for officials: from 20 to 30 BCV (7 500 000 – 11 250 000 sums)
