A citizen attempting to sell a red-listed bird was arrested in the Fergana region

Environmental Control Inspection of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change established illegal captivity and sale of a red-capped falcon (barbary falcon) by citizen I.I. through social media.

In response, the Environmental Department of the Fergana region, along with regional police and the prosecutor's office, took action to arrest the offender.
For reference: The Barbary falcon is a predatory bird from the falcon family. It is listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan. Illegal captivity of the bird, according to Appendix 14 of Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 290 dated October 20, 2014, will result in a fine of 1500 BCV (562 million 500 thousand sums). Since the damage exceeds 300 BCV, the case will be considered in criminal proceedings by law enforcement authorities.
