Illegal excavations halted in Fergana region

Officers from the Kuva District Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Fergana Region, in cooperation with the Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the National Guard, and the Patrol-Post Service of the 1st Regional Department of Internal Affairs, conducted a routine inspection raid.
In the course of the inspection, citizen A.P. was detained on the territory of the "Turk" mahalla for conducting illegal excavations using an excavator.
An administrative protocol was issued against the violator under Part 1 of Article 70 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and a fine of 10 BCV (3,750,000 sums) was imposed.
Inspections to identify violations are ongoing.
