Case of illegal captivity of a black vulture revealed in Syrdarya region

An operative group from the Inspection Department for Environmental Control of the Syrdarya Regional Ecology Administration, together with employees of the District Department of Internal Affairs, conducted an inspection based on a received complaint.
During the inspection in the "Laylakkul" mahalla of Boyovut district, Syrdarya region, a case of illegal captivity of a bird of prey—a black vulture listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan—by citizen Y.A. was discovered.
Based on this violation, an administrative protocol was drawn up against citizen Y.A. under Article 92 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and a fine of five BCV- 1,875,000 sums was imposed.
After a medical examination to assess the black vulture's condition, the bird will be released back into the wild.
