As part of the oversight to ensure compliance with atmospheric air protection legislation, a special working group led by the General Prosecutor's Office, which includes staff from the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, as well as other responsible agencies, conducted inspections of 762 facilities in Tashkent and the Tashkent region.

During the inspection, it was found that several enterprises—103 greenhouse farms, 450 social facilities and 209 industrial enterprises—are emitting smoke, dust and gas in excess of the established standards.

The analysis of greenhouse farms revealed that 70 facilities are using substandard boilers, 83 operate without a positive conclusion from the state ecological expert review  and 24 lack dust and gas cleaning equipment (filters). In the social sector, 18 cases of medical waste incineration and 5 instances of chimney blockages were recorded.

The inspection of industrial enterprises found that 40 facilities have not passed the state ecological expert review, 108 operate without filters, 39 have installed inefficient treatment systems and 29 exceed the pollutant emission standards. The managers of these enterprises have been issued orders to address the identified violations.

Monitoring and enforcement efforts to ensure compliance with environmental standards are ongoing.
